Stefan Visser 

Sport Coached: Tennis

Coaching Career: Stefan’s passion lies in Physical Education and Tennis Coaching. He’s been a part of the Melbourne International Tennis School since 2016, working as the Head Coach of Williamstown Tennis Club and Riddells Creek Tennis Club. With several years of teaching experience and over 10 years of coaching experience Stefan has worked in a range of sporting environments around Melbourne. His philosophy centres around developing the person before the player and achieving this through positive reinforcement, self-ownership, engagement and respect.   

Achievements: Stefan swam at State and National level throughout high school and captained Ivanhoe Grammar School to the AGSV Premiership in 2008. He also was a member of their First IX Cricket side before going on to captain the HDCA Under21 Representative side in 2010-11. Tennis has always been the one constant in Stefan’s sporting career where he has competed against a range of state players who have gone on to represent Australia. 

Qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science (Physical Education) at RMIT University, Tennis Australia Club Professional Coach, Certificate IV in Sports Coaching

Teaching Career: Stefan has taught Physical Education and Mathematics in multiple schools across Melbourne. Such schools have included Fitzroy Hight School, Croxton Special School and Ivanhoe Grammar School. He began his journey at Maribyrnong Sports Academy in 2017 as a member of our Tennis Program's coaching team.
