The aim of the Maribyrnong College Badminton Program is to develop a training schedule to assist elite Victorian junior badminton players in their pathway towards state, national and international representation.
Players are aiming to be selected into Victorian Junior Teams to compete at national carnivals such as the U15 Val Nesbitt, U17 June Bevan and U19 C.P. Maddern Trophies and respective individual national age-group championships. Some are aiming to be selected into Australian junior and senior teams to compete at events such as world junior and world senior championships, Thomas and Uber Cups, the Commonwealth and Olympic games.
The MSA Badminton program aims to develop talented young badminton players through providing them with technical skills and game sense understanding that will lead to selection in state, national and international pathways. At MSA students work though curriculum that has been developed by the Badminton World Federation. Our staff are Level 2 Australian Badminton accredited coaches.
