The Maribyrnong College Basketball Program is an inidividualised high performance program focused on developing and supporting talented junior basketball players in their Victorian basketball pathway. Our coaches are endorsed to deliver Basketball Victoria’s SDP and NPP High Performance Programs to targeted elite young basketballers within the Maribyrnong Sports Academy.
Our program is athlete centered and provides our student-athletes with autonomy to express and develop their individual talents within the framework of our program. We aim to promote and foster high performance behaviours and make them habitual to assist all our student-athletes in achieving their personal best.
To develop talented young athletes by providing them dynamic training environments to grow their skills technically and instill habits and behaviors that will translate to assist them in all areas of life. We aim to provide our athletes with the necessary skills and abilities for individuals to achieve personal bests and in some cases will lead to selection in State, National and International pathways. We also take great pride in supporting young athletes in balancing their sporting and academic commitments and strive to instill values that will lead to them being good citizens.

We promote our student-athletes to play regular competition with their club teams

Former Professional Basketball player with over 12 years playing experience at the professional level. Played Professional Basketball in Germany, Greece, Australia, Switzerland, Argentina, Mexico, Domenican Republic, and Italy. NBA/NCAA Certified Scout, Level 3 Coaching status, Currently coaching in the Big V Senior Championship Division, and Certified Professional skills development coach and mentor.
Peter Fleming - Lead coach year 7 and 8 Boys and Girls
Former SEABL Player and Coach, Former Level 3 (Master Coach), Former SSV State Coach, Technical Coaching Director and Junior Head Coach Maribyrnong Sports Academy.
Rachel Jarry - Development Coach.
Two time Olympian (2012,16), Won a WNBA Championship with the Minnesota Lynx (2013). Championship winner with Melbourne Boomers (2011) in the WNBL and currently rostered with the Dandenong Rangers.
